I’m going crazy with this! I want this necklace soooo bad! I cannot buy it from anywhere, not even the official site! Is there absolutely any way to get this?!
From posters to books to script to snow globe to ornaments to to flyers to ballet shoe to playbills to movies to porcelain plaque to CDs to shirt to bracelet to pin to magnet to tickets (6 stage, 3 2004 movie, 1 live showing of POTO, 1 LND) to a pen. (Taken with Instagram)
Just finished watching two videos from the new UK tour of Phantom and all I can say is: WTF?!?
Title song: it wasn’t bad but the way her dressing room is built and delaying the entrance of Raoul as the music lingers longer preparing for the scene change? C’mon! From what I could tell in the video, where they’re walking down to the lair, it’s decent until they get to the actual lair. I don’t like the new setup; the Phantom is NOT suppose to have a bed. I don’t care if it helps with the whole LND situation! There is to be NO bed at all. Capiche?
Now, Point of No Return: that scene was just plain awkward. They redid this to partially redo it and partially save money but yet this scene looked like there was more to it than before. A looooong table, them moving around it, Christine’s leg popping out- SAY WHAT?! Oh no no no no no! There does not need to be a slit in the dress for her leg to come out to tease the Phantom. Rubbing an apple along her throat/bosom is sexy enough. Then the Phantom happily caresses her leg at one point. It makes it seem like he wanted to touch her but from what I remember, he’s afraid to touch her when she kisses him later. He’s not a sex hound. And the tango dancing? Nice touch but should have stayed out. If this comes to the US, you can bet that my butt will be on Broadway seeing it the only and better way.
I’m disappointed. It’s going to suck for those who have seen it multiple times before they changed it.
Day 18 - Song with the highest play counts on iTunes.
I don’t have iTunes and don’t know how to find the count on Winamp.
But I am pretty sure it would be either the Overture or Phantom of the Opera that would be the most played. Both are just beautiful.
Day 17 - Whose part do you follow/sing when multiple people are singing?
Oooh boy. I sing along to a lot of parts. Most of the time, I follow Christine. Of course. But depending on my mood, I will follow Meg, Madame Giry, the wonderful Managers, and even Carlotta. And cannot forget the amazing Phantom when he sings my favorite parts … which are basically all since he’s in the show for only, what? 30-40 minutes; even though the show is about him. :P
Just heard the recording of Earl Carpenter and Katie Hall from Phantom. (edited this; found out that it wasn’t the UK tour but the actual production)
Now I don’t know if it was just the recording itself but I did … not … like Katie’s voice at all. It started off good so I was got excited but then the excitement was lost when her voice started to get higher. How old is this girl? Anyone know? I’ve tried to figure it out but I can’t seem to find it anywhere on any websites out there. She sounds too young … her voice seems too immature and, in my opinion, doesn’t sound like an angel. A lot of the other women who play the role of Christine sound more operatic and not like a pop singer attempting at opera.
Just saying. If anyone that reads this who loves her, please don’t bash me on having my own opinion. I don’t know what it is about her voice that just irks me the wrong way. I didn’t like her as Cosette in the 25th Anniversary concert of Les Mis either so it’s not like I’m being mean about her not sounding great for one of the biggest roles in musical theatre. I understand that it’s a hard role to do. I just think the casting director should’ve turned their ears on all the way.
